President Obama: Ellen’s Oscars Selfie Was A ‘Cheap Stunt’

President Barack Obama is sounding a little sore about losing his reTweet title to Ellen DeGeneres.

The President appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday, where he joked about Ellen’s celebrity-filled selfie from the audience at the Academy Awards earlier this month.

“I don’t know if you know this, but I was aiming to break your record of reTweets and I apologize for doing it. But I broke your reTweet record,” Ellen told the President.

“I heard about that. I thought it was a pretty cheap stunt myself,” he said. “Getting a bunch of celebrities in the background.”

“I tried… that’s the only thing I could,” she said.

The President also talked about his plan to ensure that daughters Malia and Sasha will probably never be getting tattoos. The President and the First Lady have told their daughters that if they ever get inked that they will get the exact same tattoo and share it with the world.

“We will reduce the cool factor of any tattoo. Michelle and I will be right there and we’ll post it so that everybody will be able to see it and we’ll say we all got matching tattoos. I suspect that would be a pretty good deterrent for both Malia and Sasha,” he revealed.

“I hate to say it, but I hope they get tattoos. I really do,” she told the President.

And Ellen might be in on this co-tattooing party also!

“Ellen, you should be a part of this. You should pledge to also get a tattoo with us,” he said.

“Well, you know, what if that happens, I will, but other than that I’m not into tattoos,” she explained.
