As Americans make their way to the polls on Tuesday, staffers for Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are hard at work with plans for a hopeful victory party, should their respective candidate come out on top.
If President Obama is elected to a second term, the incumbent Commander In Chief admitted he has yet to pick out a song for his victory dance with First Lady Michelle Obama.
“Now that’s a tough choice. I think I’ll have to consult with my wife,” President Obama told Ryan Seacrest during an interview on KISS FM on Tuesday morning.
During the President’s first inauguration ball back in 2008, he and Michelle were serenaded by Beyonce, as the couple danced to the Etta James classic “At Last” – and President Obama hinted a follow-up song would likely be along those same lines.
“That was a pretty good choice,” President Obama continued on Tuesday. “Whatever it is, it’s got to be a slow song so that I can put my moves on Michelle. Something a little romantic, you know? I haven’t seen her a lot lately. I’ve been on the road too much.”
As far as a message to the public on Election Day, the President said he hopes Americans will let their voices be heard.
“The first thing is vote. Regardless of who you’re voting for, our democracy works when the American people get involved,” he told Seacrest. “The American people are decent, hardworking, and they’ve got great instincts.
“The more people participate, the better the outcome,” the President concluded.
