Prince William: Baby George Has Voice To Match ‘Lion’s Roar’

Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s baby George has a very health set of lungs.

The royal couple stepped out for a charity event on Thursday evening –their first night out without their son – where Prince William told event-goers that his and Catherine’s baby boy is quite vocal.

“As you might have gathered, Catherine and I have recently become proud parents of a baby who has a voice to match any lion’s roar,” the 31-year-old Prince told the crowd at the Tusk Trust charity awards ceremony in London.

Like most new parents, William said he and Catherine (who looked stunning in a long, sparkling, silver dress at the event) were a little bit anxious about leaving their nearly 2-month-old son at home for the night.

“This is actually our first evening out without him, so please excuse us if you see us nervously casting glances at our mobile phones to check all is well back home,” he said.

Tusk Trust Chief Executive Charlie Mayhew also spoke about how fatherhood has changed Prince William, and inspired an even deeper devotion to preserving wildlife.

“He recently spoke up about how emotional, more emotional he’s got since the birth of Prince George, and I think that what that’s done is, suddenly as a parent now, he’s wondering about what is the heritage that we are leaving the next generation and our children, and our grandchildren, and it’s suddenly become very relevant to him,” he said.
