Prince William Gives Update On Duchess Kate’s Morning Sickness: She’s ‘So-So’

Duchess Catherine was set to travel to Malta for the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the country’s independence, but was forced to stay in England due to severe morning sickness.

Prince William went in his pregnant wife’s stead, and gave an update on Kate’s health as she carries the couple’s second child.

“She’s so-so, she’s up and down at the moment,” he told the crowd of hundreds who showed up to see him, when asked how Kate is feeling, according to People.

As previously reported on , palace officials said Thursday the decision to cancel what would have been Kate’s first official solo voyage overseas was made in consultation with her doctors.

The duchess is in the first trimester of her second pregnancy. She has suffered acute morning sickness during the early phases of both pregnancies and has curtailed her royal engagements in the past two weeks.

The royal couple announced they were expecting a second child earlier this month.
