Priscilla Presley Takes Aim At Tabloid Treatment Of Lisa Marie; Talks ‘Dancing’

“Dancing With the Stars,” Season Six contestant Priscilla Presley is thrilled her third grandchild is on the way. But, in a new interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, Priscilla took aim at those who attacked her daughter, Lisa Marie, for her weight gain, forcing the 40-year-old to reveal that she is pregnant.

“We are all excited about a little one,” Priscilla told Billy. “Having a little one around again, all of our kids are grown up so this is really exciting news for all of us.”

“How is she doing?” Billy asked Priscilla about Lisa Marie, who is now taking action against the tabloids who made jabs at her recent weight gain, which she later revealed was due to pregnancy. “She was fighting mad that the paparazzi were so mean to her… and she lashed out pretty hard.”

“Well she should,” Priscilla responded. “I think it’s cruel what’s happening today with people and with celebrities. You’ve got parasites out there trying to bring you down and take you down.”

Throughout the years, Priscilla has mostly shied away from the spotlight. She surprised us all, however, when at 62, she signed up for “Dancing With the Stars.”

And now she’s putting in long, tough “Dancing” days with professional partner Louis Van Amstel.

“For some people, it’s like a makeover because they want to reinvent themselves. For some people, it’s the physical challenge — they want to drop 30 pounds and they inevitably do. What’s your reason?” Billy asked Priscilla of her move to join the show.

“I don’t think you could drop 30 pounds,” Louis chimed in.

“No, in fact that is one of the first things they say when they know you are doing ‘DWTS.’ ‘Oh my god! You are gonna be in great shape, you are gonna lose this, you are gonna tone.’ I think that’s great but there is so much more to this than that,” Priscilla said. “This is hard work but this is life changing. I am already feeling it. This is hard work mentally and physically. I am here for the challenge.

“It’s something I feel that I have to do because I don’t want to ever look back on my life and go, ‘Why didn’t I do it when I had the opportunity to?’” Priscilla continued. “Time goes by so quickly.”
