On Monday, Lifetime’s “Project Runway” announced the celebrity guest judges who will appear this season on the Emmy-nominated style competition series when it returns on September 15.
Priyanka Chopra, Emily Ratajkowski, Nina Dobrev, Camilla Belle, Jaime King, Shiri Appleby, Sabrina Carpenter and Carly Chaiken are set to join host/judge Heidi Klum and permanent judges Nina Garcia and Zac Posen.
Two of the new celebrity guest judges will also bring their own fashion business experience and expertise to the table. Earlier this year, Jaime created a gender-neutral kids clothing line Gardner and the Gang x Jamie King, and in December 2015 Emily collaborated with her designer friend Christy Dawn to create a $250 bell-sleeved dress which sold on the designer’s website.
In addition, “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie, fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff, “Project Runway Junior” judge Kelly Osbourne, model Lucky Blue Smith and Marie Claire Editor-in-Chief Anne Fulenwider will appear as guest judges.
Each week, the panel will decide who is “in” and who is “out” when it comes to the fashion competition, while co-host Tim Gunn will continue as mentor to a new group of aspiring fashion designers and competitors.
Marking its 15th season when it returns, the hit Emmy-nominated series has been providing hungry designers with an opportunity to launch their careers in fashion with much-needed financial assistance for the winner, and priceless editorial and TV exposure for their name and creations.
