‘Project Runway’ Picks Season 9 Winner

Four designers – Anya Ayoung-Chee, Joshua McKinley, Kimberly Goldson and Viktor Luna –battled it out on the catwalk during the Season 9 finale of “Project Runway” on Thursday with a surprise winner taking the title.

SPOLIER ALERT: After weeks of challenges, countless trips to Mood and plenty of catty comments from her competitors, Anya – the most inexperienced finalist (she only learned to sew a few months before the competition) – took home the $100,000 prize, a spread in Marie Claire magazine and the opportunity to sell a collection on Piperlime.

Anya got off to a shaky start during part one of the finale a week earlier, but after another trip to Mood and an extra $500 to spend on her collection, the 29-year-old former Miss Universe contestant – hailing from Trinidad – wowed the judges with her Caribbean-inspired line filled with prints and color.

After being crowned queen of the “Runway,” Anya told host Heidi Klum that her support was “almost 100 percent” responsible for her win.

So what lies ahead for Anya?

Past “Runway” winners Jay McCarroll, Chloe Dao, Leanne Marshall and Seth Aaron Henderson might have an idea!

AccessHollywood.com caught up with the four designers to find out what they’ve been up to since taking home the prize.
