Prosecutors Ask Judge Not To Dismiss Restraining Order Against Charlie Sheen

Colorado prosecutors don’t want a judge to lift a restraining order against actor Charlie Sheen, who is accused of threatening his wife with a knife.

Attorneys for both Sheen and his wife, Brooke, say they want the order dismissed so the couple can try to reconcile. The order bars him from contacting her.

Prosecutors filed a motion Wednesday opposing dismissal. Assistant District Attorney Arnold Mordkin would not say why on Thursday.

It’s not clear when a judge will rule.

Sheen was arrested in Aspen on Christmas Day on charges including felony menacing and domestic violence. Brooke Sheen told police he put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.

He denies threatening her.

The 44-year-old actor stars in”Two and a Half Men” on CBS.
