Ramon Rodriguez Dishes On ‘Charlie’s Angels’ TV Reboot; Will Robert Wagner Voice Charlie?

Former “Transformers” star Ramon Rodriguez only has two more weeks until he starts shooting ABC’s TV revival of “Charlie’s Angels” with Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh – but will he have the character of Bosley all figured out?

“I’m in Bosley Boot Camp right now,” the actor told Access Hollywood at the junket for his new movie, “Battle: Los Angeles.”

“I see him really as a charming gentleman, almost like a mother hen to the Angels. He’s very protective over them. And he’s obviously the liaison with the Angels and Charlie,” he said of his character, who was first played by David Doyle on the small screen and then Bill Murray and Bernie Mac on the big screen.

“I’ve just been doing my own homework and figuring out how far I can push the direction I’m going with Bosley,” he explained. “He’s a bit of a playboy… kind of a ‘Bond’ kind of vibe to him, where’s he’s in the action. He takes part in the action with the Angels, much more than the previous Bosleys have. He’s really involved in action and taking people down.”

What does Ramon’s “Bosley Boot Camp” consist of?

“I’ve been doing some martial arts training… so I can hopefully look cool and actually know what I’m doing while I’m kicking butt,” he told Access.

As for rumors that former “Hart To Hart” star Robert Wagner may voice the famous Charlie, Ramon remained mum.

“Can’t confirm that,” he said with a smile.

The TV reboot – from Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films and Sony Pictures TV – is a modern-day take on the iconic ‘70s franchise, which originally starred Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith as the first “Angels.”
