Rebel Wilson Reveals Dating Troubles, Taking Tips From Millionaire Matchmaker

Rebel Wilson is a full-blown star (thanks to memorable roles in movies like “Bridesmaids” and “Pitch Perfect”), but the Aussie-born actress still has trouble approaching possible dates.

“Even though, yeah, now I am in movies or whatever, I am still [shy],” Rebel told Cosmo in a new interview. “People think you’re really confident because you’re an actress or whatever, but I’m like, the worst.”

The 27-year-old star – whose new ABC show, “Super Fun Night,” will premiere on October 2 – said her fame is making it easier to meet people now and admitted she pays close attention to dating advice from Bravo’s Patti Stanger.

“The good thing about being recognizable is that people approach me, which is good,” she told the mag. “Also, I watch that show, ‘Millionaire Matchmaker,’ and they say the girl should never approach the guys.”

The actress also shared her real-life inspiration for one of the upcoming scenes from her new show (which she both writes and stars in, while Conan O’Brien serves as executive producer), where her character’s dress rips.

“I got set up on a lunch with Jason Segel – he was the first Hollywood person that I got to have lunch with and chat about life with or whatever ,” she told the mag. “So I thought, I’ll try to look my best, and I wore my best leather jacket.

“When I sat down, a sharp edge on the chair snagged my jacket, and it just ripped. I was devastated but trying to hide it because I didn’t want to ruin the lunch,” she continued. “I’m always ripping clothing. It’s so embarrassing.”
