Redmond O’Neal Headed Back To Jail; Could Be Sent Away For Up To 6 Years

Redmond O’Neal is heading back to jail.

The son of actor Ryan O’Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett admitted to violating his probation on Thursday after arranging for methamphetamines to be delivered to his rehab facility.

Judge Keith Schwartz revoked O’Neal’s probation, ordered him to return to jail and denied bail. He is due back in court on October 7 for sentencing, where the judge said he could face up to six years behind bars.

The manager of O’Neal’s rehab program, Carol Newman, was told by the judge to investigate how drugs were able to be brought into the facility.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Redmond pleaded no contest to felony possession of heroin and being in possession of a firearm after he was arrested on Aug. 2 in Santa Monica.

A spokesperson for the Santa Monica Police Department previously confirmed to Access that Redmond was pulled over at 8:45 AM on Aug. 2, for failing to stop at a red left turn arrow at Lincoln and Olympic.

An officer determined O’Neal was on probation, and therefore he had consent to search him and the vehicle he was driving, the spokesperson told Access.

The officer found a controlled substance believed to be heroin in the car.

Prosecutors charged Redmond days later with felony heroin possession. He was also charged with being a felon, in possession of a firearm.
