Reese Witherspoon’s arrest for disorderly conduct caused quite a buzz, and the fire was fueled on Thursday when a video of the April 19 incident was posted online.
“Do you know my name sir?” the actress is heard asking the officer, in video from the arresting officer’s dashboard camera posted by TMZ on Thursday.
“You’re about to find out who I am!” the 37-year-old Oscar winner told the officer.

“I’m an American citizen… I’m allowed to stand on American soil,” she is heard saying and then added, “You better not arrest me.”
After Reese was cuffed and put in the car, Reese’s husband, Jim Toth, who was charged with driving under the influence, is heard telling the officer, “I’m sorry, I had nothing to do with that.”

On Wednesday, Reese appeared on “Good Morning America,” where she spoke about her arrest calling the incident, “one of those nights.”
“We went out to a restaurant in Atlanta, and we had one too many glasses of wine,” she explained. “We thought we were fine to drive and we were absolutely not, and we are so sorry and just so embarrassed… We know better and we shouldn’t have done that.”
She said they should have called a cab, but “poor judgment” led them to drive.
“We made a mistake, and it was something that will absolutely never happen again,” she said at the time.
