The daughters of former couple Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards were reportedly in an SUV driven by a nanny when a Honda swerved in front of them, causing the accident.

However, according to TMZ, only the Honda driver was injured. The driver was taken to a local hospital. The Web site reported that the driver is expected to be cited for failing to yield.

“I spoke to Charlie and the girls are fine,” a rep for the star told E! Online on Saturday afternoon. “He is very grateful because the accident could have been worse. He was very grateful the girls were in their car seats and for the safety features of Mercedes.”

According to E!, a rep for Denise had no comment.

Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, are looking forward to the addition of more siblings to the family — dad Charlie and wife Brooke Mueller are expecting twin boys in late spring.
