Rep Denies Reports Gun Involved In Incident With Frankie Muniz & Girlfriend

Former “Malcolm In The Middle” star Frankie Muniz did not brandish a gun in a recent incident with his girlfriend, Elycia Turnbow, according to a statement from the actor’s publicist.

“Frankie and Elycia had an argument a few days ago. Police were called to their residence. A gun played no part in the argument and was voluntarily given to the police for safekeeping. There were no bruises on anyone. Neither left the residence that night,” the statement from Muniz’s rep to Access Hollywood read.

“He was not suicidal. She was not assaulted. They have been together since the incident; are still together and are moving forward with their lives and with their relationship,” the statement concluded.

The rep issued the statement following mulitple reports that Muniz and his girlfriend were involved in a domestic incident.

According to a police report regarding the Friday night incident posted on TMZ’s website, Turnbow told a police officer in Phoenix that the two had an “intense” fight.

“Elycia said that [Frankie] grabbed a gun and held it to his head, possibly with the intent of committing suicide,” the report continued. “Elycia said she became worried about [Frankie’s] safety, and called one of his band mates to take him to the hospital.”

After the hospital trip, the two continued fighting, according to the report.

“Elycia said that [Frankie] punched her in the back of the head and threw her into a wall while in the downstairs bedroom,” the officer’s report read.

The reported noted, however, that Turnbow, “did not have any visible signs of injuries.”

Muniz denied Turnbow’s claims to the police, according to the report.

The police impounded the weapon that was at Muniz’s residence and, according to the report, “since there were no signs of injury, no signs of damage, and no independent witnesses or other persons involved, both were warned for disorderly conduct.”

Despite the incident, Muniz Tweeted about his plans for a swanky Valentine’s Day dinner with Turnbow on Monday.

“The table all set for Valentine’s Day dinner…I love @elyciamarie,” he wrote, linking to a photo of an ornately laid-out table for four.
