Rep For John Travolta: Reports Of Kelly Preston’s Labor ‘100% False’

A rep for John Travolta has denied rampant reports stating that the star has flown home from Australia after he reportedly received word that his pregnant wife, Kelly Preston, had gone into labor.

“The story is 100 percent false,” John’s rep told Access Hollywood on Sunday.

According to Australia’s Herald Sun, the 56-year-old actor was scheduled to appear at a charity event in Perth on Saturday evening, but cancelled at the last minute to fly his plane back to the states.

John, an ambassador for Qantas Airlines and avid pilot, had been in Australia celebrating the airline’s 90th anniversary, but had previously told reporters he may have to cut his trip short.

”[If Kelly] goes into labor, I’ll have to take the plane straight back on a 22-hour flight,” John told press in Brisbane, Australia, earlier this week, according to the publication.

While reports of the labor seem to be premature, the couple has already chosen a name for their soon-to-arrive bundle of joy — Benjamin.

The former “Grease” star made the announcement when he arrived in Brisbane last weekend as he accepted gifts from Aussie fans.

“[These toys] will be great for my son who is due to be born in 19 days, Benjamin,” he reportedly told the crowd, according to the publication.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the ecstatic couple initially announced they were expecting in May via their personal websites, saying, “It’s impossible to keep a secret… Especially one as wonderful as this.”

The joyful news marks continued recovery for John and Kelly, who tragically lost their 16-year-old son Jett to a seizure in January 2009.

The new beloved bundle of joy will join 10-year-old big sister Ella Bleu.
