Rep: Lindsay Lohan Released From Hospital Following Car Accident

Lindsay Lohan has been released from the hospital following a car accident on Friday, the actress’ rep tells Access Hollywood.

“Lindsay was involved in an automobile accident today on her way to the [‘Liz & Dick’] set,” Lindsay’s rep said in a statement to Access on Friday. “She was brought to Santa Monica UCLA hospital as a precaution.

“She is fine and was released less than two hours later and is already headed back to the set to resume work,” the statement continued. “Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident.”

According to TMZ, which was first to report the accident news, the 25-year-old actress was behind the wheel of her now-totaled black Porshe on Pacific Coast Highway in Los Angeles when the car collided with the back of an 18-wheel truck on Friday.

The Santa Monica Fire Department told Access that both Lindsay and her assistant sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by SMFD ambulance to a local hospital.
