NEW YORK, NY (June 25, 2007) — Eva Longoria and Tony Parker’s big day is quickly approaching, and the couple will reportedly receive a huge sum for exclusive photos of their wedding. “These were obviously highly coveted photos, and we were thrilled to negotiate the exclusive rights,” OK! editor-in-chief Sara Ivens told PAGE SIX. “Covering great moments with the celebrities that we love is what the magazine’s all about.” While a source close to the negotiations reportedly quoted the $2 million figure, a rep for OK! declined to comment on the price tag, saying, “We don’t release numbers.” Longoria’s reps had “no comment” on the report when contacted by Access Hollywood.
The bride-to-be has been coy about wedding details so far, but Parker actually offered a few tidbits in an interview with a French television program last week, According to the report, Parker told France’s Canal+ network’s “Le Grand Journal” that the wedding will be held at Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte, a 17th-century castle located South of Paris, famed for its beautiful gardens. Wedding guests will include Longoria’s “Desperate Housewives” co-stars, as well as Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jamie Foxx and Lionel Richie, Parker reportedly said. As for rumors that the wedding cake would be flown in from Los Angeles at a cost of $11,000? “You can’t believe everything you read in the papers,” he was quoted as saying. Parker remarked that “It will be difficult to avoid the paparazzi,” according to the report, and denied rumors that the newlyweds would be staying at the Hotel George V for their honeymoon. He indicated that they would stay in Paris for it, however, which contrasts with rumors that Longoria would be flying back to the U.S. to begin filming the new season of “Desperate Housewives” on July 9.Whether Eva and Tony stay in Paris after the wedding remains to be seen, but at least they’ll be prepared just in case. Access can report that the couple was seen shopping together in New York for luggage over the weekend!
