Report: Kelly Osbourne Reveals Past Vicodin Addiction In New Book

Kelly Osbourne has reportedly revealed she was once addicted to the prescription painkiller Vicodin.

In the 24-year-old’s September-due book, “Fierce,” which offers advice Kelly culled from various industry movers and shakers, the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon revealed she once battled with prescription drug addiction, Popeater reported.

Kelly reportedly wrote that after being prescribed Vicodin, her use of the painkiller eventually spiraled out of control.

“By this point I was waking up and emptying six Vicodin into my hand. Soon I was taking 50 pills a day,” Kelly wrote in the book, according to Popeater. “Most people would overdose on 10. My friends called me ‘Noddy’ because I fell asleep all the time.”

At first, Kelly kept her pill addiction from her parents, according to the report.

“My parents suspected. Mum would say, ‘Darling, are you taking something? Please tell your mummy.’ But I was good at lying,” she reportedly wrote.

Kelly eventually was sent to rehab at Malibu’s Promises, the same place Britney Spears previously received treatment.

She underwent four rehab trips in total, the last one, being the most important to her recovery.

“After 30 days, I left rehab. For the first time, I felt hopeful. I knew I’d been given another chance at my life, at my career, at happiness. I wanted to grab it,” she reportedly wrote.

But beyond the prescription drug revelation, Kelly said she’s used her own soul-searching to help readers of her book, do their own.

“Who is Kelly Osbourne? I’m still not totally sure,” she wrote in the book’s description on Amazon. “But I do know who I’m not, and I want to help other people make the right decisions with the difficult choices we all face when growing up. So I’ve gone out and got the best advice I can find from people I love, respect and always listen to.”

Kelly, who is now happily engaged to model Luke Worrall, will appear on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” which premieres on September 21.
