Report: Lindsay Lohan Violated Probation, Could Serve Jail Time

Lindsay Lohan’s late-night partying ways may soon be coming to an end, according to TMZ.

The site reported that LiLo has not fulfilled the terms of her 2007 DUI probation agreement — which could mean jail for the troubled actress.

Under the terms of her court judgment, Lindsay must attend alcohol education courses once a week – but TMZ claims the star “frequently” attended every 21 days, or just often enough to prevent the school she attends from notifying the court that she is in violation.

Nevertheless, should the reports prove true, Lindsay’s irregular attendance would still violate the judge’s order.

Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, told Access Hollywood on Friday that the star’s program had not complained – which fits the loophole explained above.

“We have received no negative written report from the program and contend Ms. Lohan is therefore in compliance,” she stated.

A source told Access on Friday that while Lindsay had missed some weeks, she had always made up for them by going to two classes the following week. By law, she is required to attend a class every 21 days, per Judge Marsha Revel’s own edict, but the judge had told Lindsay that she wants her to go more often. How strictly Judge Revel will enforce Lindsay’s progress is up to her. A probation violation can include jail time, but doesn’t necessarily demand it.

In February, the judge said “everything looks good” with Lindsay’s program, which she is required to complete by July – a deadline extended last year. Her next progress report is slated for May 20.

In related news, Access’ source confirmed to Access that attorneys for both Lindsay and her father, Michael Lohan, have agreed to meet in person next week. The two lawyers will attempt to “broker a peace deal” outside of court as they have a good relationship with one another, the source said.

“Michael Lohan loves his daughter Lindsay and stands ready, willing and able to help her any time she needs him, day or night,” Michael’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, said in a statement to Access. “Our #1 priority remains to save and protect Lindsay. All legal options in that regard remain open. We hope that Lindsay agrees soon to voluntarily enter an appropriate treatment program.”

The news comes days after Michael publicly asked his daughter to sit down with him following his surprise entrance into her home last week to check on Lindsay and her 16-year-old sister, Ali.
