Sofia Coppola is pregnant.
According to People, Thomas Mars, singer for the band Phoenix and Sofia’s partner, confirmed the news by nodding when asked about the rumor during an interview with Chicago’s WXRT.
The baby will be the second child for the couple.
The two welcomed their first child – a daughter named Romy – who was born in Paris in November 2006.
Mars’ band, Phoenix, is currently on tour in support of their May 2009 album, “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.”
As for Sofia, she recently wrapped production on “Somewhere,” a comedy about a bad-boy actor in Hollywood who gets a life-changing visit from his pre-teen daughter.
“Somewhere,” which is due out in 2010, stars Stephen Dorff, Elle Fanning and Michelle Monaghan.
