Richie Sambora is paying tribute to the victims and heroes of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The rocker has released a new song, “Engine 19,” which he co-wrote with Bernie Taupin, best known for his collaborations with Elton John.
The track was released Wednesday — the 12th anniversary of the attacks.

A statement on Richie’s website says that the song is “dedicated to the first responders that keep us safe around the country. On this important day of reflection and remembrance, Richie is honored to release this tribute to their hard work and dedication.”
