Rihanna To Headline Charity Inaugural Ball

Rihanna will perform in Washington, D.C. on inauguration day, Access Hollywood has learned.

The “Umbrella” singer is set to headline a charity ball for Feeding America and the Recording Industry Association of America on January 20.

“We are thrilled to have Rihanna’s participation in the inauguration charity ball,” Vicky Escarra, president and CEO of Feeding America, said in a statement to Access. “As the prevalence of hunger in America increases at an unprecedented rate, we are most grateful to Rihanna and to RIAA for helping us bring greater visibility to this tragic reality and helping us feed millions more people in need.”

She’ll be one of many stars in the capitol for President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration, with celebs ranging from Oprah to Diddy planning on being in attendance.
