Rihanna To Host Diamond Ball

Rihanna will host and perform at the first-ever Diamond Ball in Beverly Hills on December 11, the superstar has announced.

The black tie gala will benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation, which Rihanna founded in 2012 in honor of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.

The charity promotes health, education and arts to help improve the quality of life in communities around the world.

“One of the greatest benefits of my job was being able to start the Clara Lionel Foundation in honor of my grandparents,” Rihanna said in a press release announcing the gala. “There is truly nothing I’m more proud of and we’ve just gotten started. I’m excited to continue my work and thrilled to be able to host the Diamond Ball – a night that promises to be elegant and inspirational.”

The fundraiser will take place at The Vineyard, a private 157-acre enclave in Beverly Hills, and is expected to draw around 600 guests.
