Rita Cosby Defends Book, Jackie Hatten Issues Statement

From the moment Rita Cosby first made them public, Jackie Hatten’s allegations have been dismissed as trash by Larry Birkhead.

In hiding since the release of Rita Cosby’s book, “Blonde Ambition,” the eyewitness source to the alleged affair between Howard K. Stern and Larry Birkhead today released a new statement to Access Hollywood.

“I have been listening in recent days to the many inaccuracies stated by ‘the team’ of Larry Birkhead, Ron Rale and the representatives of Howard K. Stern. I assure you, the truth will be revealed in the future,” Hatten’s statement read.

While Hatten has neither confirmed nor denied giving the eyewitness account in the book, Rita Cosby told Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts, her source is solid.

“We stand by everything that’s in the book, we make no apologies,” she said.

No one has interviewed Larry Birkhead more than Tony Potts. Despite what the book claims, Birkhead told Tony, he was always adamant that he would never make a deal with Howard K. Stern.

“There is no deals being made for money,” Birkhead previously told Access.

Tony questioned Rita on the same subject.

“Larry says there were no side deals, he’s doing just what’s best for Dannielynn. Your response?”

“Well I find it very ironic that because it was only a few months ago that he was on record saying that he was going to go after the people prescribing medication, the people that were there in the case of Anna Nicole Smith, and if you look today, he’s not doing any of those things,” Cosby said.

Larry told Access, last March, as the autopsy results were revealed, it would be his mission to find out who gave Anna her drugs. Since then however, there appears to be no further investigation.

“What could he be doing legally today?” Potts asked Cosby.

“Well, pulling Howard K. Stern into a private room and saying what do you know?” she replied. “He could also file a wrongful death lawsuit, because he has the jurisdiction to do that because the next of kin is Dannielynn and he’s the guardian for Dannielynn.”
