Rob Lowe Wins Mini-Victory In Court

A Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge has thrown out two allegations made against Rob Lowe and his wife Sheryl, in court earlier today.

Judge Denise de Bellefeuille tossed out two of 12 allegations made by Jessica Gibson, a former nanny for the Lowe family, according to People.com.

The two allegations thrown out were related to labor-code violations. They were tossed for having no legal merit.

“We don’t consider this a setback at all,” Gibson’s lawyer, John West, told People. “Jessica’s case is still intact as a whole.”

The former nanny’s sexual harassment claims are still at play in the courts.

Neither side was in court for the ruling.

“She’s been lying low,” West told People.com. “This has been a very traumatic situation for her, she’s doing her best to heal.”

Gibson claimed in legal papers filed in April, that Lowe touched her inappropriately several times between September 2005 and January 2008.

Gibson worked on and off for the 44-year-old actor and his wife for seven years before quitting in February. Gibson claims she thought conditions would get better.

An attorney for Rob Lowe has denied the claims.

The Lowes are suing two ex-employees, including Gibson. The Lowe family claims Gibson demanded $1.5 million to remain silent.
