Robert Pattinson Getting Fame Pointers From Pierce Brosnan

“Twilight Saga” star Robert Pattinson is still learning how to deal with his celebrity status – but he’s getting some advice from his “Remember Me” co-star Pierce Brosnan.

“Everybody knows where everybody is,” Robert told Vogue in its March issue when asked about his aggressive fans who turned up on the streets of New York City while he was filming “Remember Me,” which also stars “Lost’s” Emilie de Ravin.

“The Twitter thing is unbelievable. I went out a couple of times with Pierce [Brosnan.] He’s totally recognizable, and he makes no effort to tone it down,” the 23-year-old actor told the mag. “Some people were glancing over at us in the restaurant, and he just went over and introduced himself. And it does work. It dissipates all the attention.”

But the “Twilight” heartthrob has yet to adopt Pierce’s approach to dealing with fame.

“Me?…I just crawl under the table,” he explained.

The star said his exuberant fans also made it difficult to do his job at times.

“It was the most ridiculous experience,” he told the mag. “You’re trying to stay in character and you’re trying to walk down the street, but all those people keep reminding you that you’re not this character.”

Despite the distractions by gushing fans, the movie’s director, Allen Coulter, said Rob and Emilie turned out stellar performances.

“Rob and Emilie are gifted actors who really like each other,” Allen told the mag. “And the movie reveals them in a whole new way.”

“Remember Me” is slated to his theaters on March 12 – and Robert will return to the vampire world in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” on June 30.
