Robert Pattinson To Play Saddam Hussein Interrogator In ‘Mission: Blacklist’

Robert Pattinson has landed a role that is sure to distance himself from the world of “The Twilight Saga.”

According to Variety, the 25-year-old actor has been cast in the military thriller “Mission: Blacklist,” as interrogator Eric Maddox, who spearheaded the capture of Saddam Hussein in 2003.

The movie will be based on Maddox with Davin Seay’s book, “Mission: Black List #1.”

Robert will next be seen in David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis,” at the Cannes Film Festival later this month and then he’ll reprise his role as vampire Edward Cullen in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” hitting theaters on November 16.

On Friday, Robert and “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart were photographed leaving Vancouver, where they had been doing reshoots for the last installment of the vampire franchise.
