Nick Jumps Into The Musical Game: Nickelodeon is unveiling a musical movie set in a high school… hmm, where have we heard this idea before? They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, and Disney should feel very honored, with the announcement of Nick’s, “Spectacular!” Reuters reports. The kids’ channel says (regardless of the use of an exclamation point in the title), “Spectacular!” is not a musical where the characters break out into song, but rather performance-based. Until we see their version of Sharpay, we’re not sold.

McCartney & Friend Do The Islands: After finalizing his divorce with Heather Mills, Paul McCartney headed to the Jumby Bay resort in Antigua with Nancy Shevell, People reports. But was this a romantic weekend for the former Beatle and his gal pal or just a weekend away for friends? “They seemed more like friends. They were very comfortable together, but I did not get the impression that they were a romantic couple,” a Jumby Bay employee told the mag. But another island spy told the mag there were indeed sparks between the two saying, “They seem to be having a very happy and relaxed time together in paradise. They seem not to have a care in the world.” Well except for multi-million dollar check he had to write last week.

A Little More Destiny: Beyonce isn’t the only member of Destiny’s Child who can drop the hot tracks. Michelle Williams has unveiled her new single, “We Break the Dawn,” on People.com. The new pop track marks a change from her previous Gospel sound on her last two albums. Michelle’s new album “Unexpected” drops in August.
