Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenaningans

Eva’s ‘Amazing Race’ Bash: Tony Parker surprised wife Eva Longoria Parker with quite a birthday celebration on Sunday, People reports. The 33-year-old was treated to surprise visits from family and friends, a scavenger hunt on par with something from “The Amazing Race,” and a real-life version of the Clue board game– there was even a San Antonio Spurs coyote mascot with Tony waiting inside! Tony, who planned the entire event on his own (no party-planner for Parker), even had Eva’s favorite yellow cake with chocolate frosting, baked by her mother!

Kirstie & Oprah TV: Kirstie Alley fans, your wish has been granted. The actress is returning to television with Oprah at the helm, People reports “Kirstie is a tremendous talent who is incredibly relatable and a true fan favorite,” the president of Harpo Productions told the mag. Kirstie tells the mag she hopes to, “offer something totally fresh for the television audience.”

Tina Fey Not Down With ‘The Daily Show’: Tina Fey is showing no love for Jon Stewart and “The Daily Show.” Tina told Reader’s Digest, “You can prompt applause with a sign. My friend Seth Meyers coined the term ‘clapter,’ which is when you do a political joke and people go, ‘Woo-hoo.’ It means they sort of approve but didn’t really like it that much. You hear a lot of that on [whispers] ‘The Daily Show.'” Ragging on Jon Stewart and name dropping, what happened to camaraderie between former and current newscaster satirists?

One Backstreet Tries A JT: Hey Backstreet Boy fans (we know you’re still out there!), A.J. McLean is selling tickets for two sneak-preview solo concerts for in the LA area, People reports. “He’s excited to connect to his fans on a one-on-one basis at smaller venues – something you can’t do in large arenas – and to give them a taste of some of the music that will appear on his first solo record later this year,” a rep for the former boy bander told the mag. And by “one-on-one” we’ll assume the rep means A.J. and whoever shows up.
