This “Bachelor” Can Keep His Pad: In more shocking splitsville news, “The Bachelor: London Calling’s” Matt Grant has split from the girl who got the last rose, Shayne Dahl Lamas, Us Weekly reports. “We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions,” Matt and Shayne said in a statement released to the mag Thursday. “We truly care about each other and will remain close friends.” If total strangers who met and got engaged on a reality show in just a few weeks can’t make it work, who can, right?

Elizabeth Berkley To Help Teen Girls With Self-Esteem: “Showgirls” and “Saved By the Bell” star Elizabeth Berkley is developing a new reality show with MTV centered around running self-esteem workshops for teen girls, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “She does these workshops around the country with teen girls and gets them to really open up about their issues, like self-esteem and body issues,” MTV’s vice president of development News & Documentaries told the mag. “We had been looking for a program that tackled the same issues, so it seemed like a perfect match.”

“Maddening Danger” Coming To MTV VMAs: Former AccessHollywood.com Rising Star and future MTV VMA host, Russell Brand, says viewers can expect anything and everything at this year’s annual MTV award show. “I’m English, so I’ve got impeccable manners,” he told People. “But I’m borderline psychotic in areas of performance. So there will be risks because it’s live. There’s no point of things like that being live if there’s no risk of maddening danger.” We’re hoping that means a Russell and Britney duet!
