R.I.P “SNL’s” Penelope & Gilly!: (Cue the Penelope voice and twirl your hair!) “So, I created these characters, so I can end them. In fact stopped doing them before I even started.” According to a new interview in Time, “Saturday Night Live” and “Bridesmaids” star Kristen Wiig has retired two of her beloved characters, Penelope (the one-upper) and Gilly (the mischievous school girl). According to the interview, the actress even refuses to perform the characters if “SNL” head honcho Lorne Michaels asked for them. As long as we still get to see the Target Lady, we’ll be OK.
