ROLL CALL: Village People Cop: I’m The ‘Best Choice’ For New ‘American Idol’ Judge

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Village People Cop Wants “Idol” Job: Forget J.Lo and Steven Tyler, the Village People’s cop – Victor Willis – thinks he’s the right for one of the vacant seats at the “American Idol” judges’ table. Victor told TMZ that he’s the “best choice” for the job and even claims he had a meeting with “Idol” executives who allegedly told him he’s a “dark horse candidate” for the position. No word if the Cowboy and the Construction Worker are pissed.

Amy Takes A Nap!: Nobody make any loud noises – Amy Winehouse is napping – on a park bench at 9:30 AM, according to Britain’s The Sun. On second thought, after seeing this picture of Amy sprawled out in London on Tuesday, we’re thinking it would pretty much impossible to wake the slumbering songstress! Enjoy your Z’s Amy!

Paul Rudd: Bat Mitzvah DJ!: Some actors wait tables, and some sling coffee before they get their break – but funnyman Paul Rudd dropped the funky beats at bat mitzvahs! We’d like to thank New York Mag for unearthing this old clip of Paul in the early 90’s working his DJ magic, holding the limbo bar, showing off his air guitar skills and helping young ladies blow out their candles! See all the retro fun – including Paul’s strange yellow tuxedo and shorts combo – HERE!

Betty White Is A Fan Of “True Blood” Star’s Booty: Betty White appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Tuesday with “True Blood’s” Sam Trammel – who plays a shape shifter on the hit HBO series – and Betty was thrilled to see Sam’s backside. “Oh, I wish I had a dog that could do that,” the 88-year-old said after seeing a clip of Sam in the buff. Betty, have you met the show’s other naked shape shifter, Joe Manganiello? You might wish you had a pet werewolf too!
