Romeo Reveals Plans To Avenge Dad Master P’s Low ‘Dancing’ Scores; Pulled Over By Police For Being On The Show?

Music mogul Master P endured painfully low scores on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2006 when he stepped in for his then-injured son, Romeo. Now, Romeo is returning to take his turn on the dance floor for the show’s twelfth season and hopes to avenge his family’s “Dancing” legacy!

“I’m here to take over, you know, the king did his thing, now it’s the prince’s turn,” Romeo told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Thursday’s Access Hollywood Live. “I’m here to show the people that the Millers [can] dance.”

“[When] your dad came home after that, was he like, mortally wounded?” Billy asked.

“A lot of people don’t know — the only reason he did the show was because I injured my ankle. I was supposed to do that season,” Romeo explained. “I think I was like 13 or 14. I would have been the youngest person, and my dad didn’t rehearse — he only had two days to rehearse — and I was like, ‘Dad, if you do this for me, I promise, I will one day do ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and redeem our legacy.’”

Romeo’s road to familial redemption has already begun with a nod from one of LA’s boys in blue.

“I got pulled over by a cop, and I’m like, ‘What did I do now?’ And the cop said, ‘You’re going to win!’” Romeo told Billy and Kit. “And I’m like, ‘What do you mean, like Charlie Sheen win?’

“He said, ‘You’re going to win,’” Romeo continued. “And I’m like, ‘What are you talking about? And he’s like, ‘Dancing with the Stars!’… So it’s just crazy that everybody watches this show, even the police.”

The 21-year-old rapper, who was signed to his father’s record label at age 5, used to be known as “Lil Romeo,” but said his bulging muscles prompted him to drop the “Lil.”

“When you see these guns, baby…” he joked, flexing his biceps. “It’s just growing up. A lot of people don’t know I decided to go to school — I went to USC, played basketball there. Won the first Pac 10 championship as a freshman.”

Romeo is still attending the posh private school and said joining “Dancing” has made him a hit with the university ladies.

“It’s crazy, because now I’m like the hot topic at school,” Romeo revealed. “All the girls I used to like are now trying to talk to me.”

Additionally, the New Orleans native – who is paired with professional dancer Chelsie Hightower, 21, on the hit ABC series — said rumors of a romance between the young pair have already begun to fly, but denied any sparks between them.

“I went on some blog site and they were like, ‘[Chelsie and Romeo] are dating,’ and found the most awkward picture,” he laughed. “It looked like we were making out but it was just a hug.”

Catch Romeo’s “Dancing” debut when Season 12 of “Dancing on the Stars” premieres on March 21 at 8 PM on ABC.
