Ron Artest’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Prediction: ‘I Don’t Have A Chance’

The future Metta World Peace, currently known as NBA star Ron Artest, is gearing up to don spandex and mambo arms when the Lakers forward competes on “Dancing with the Stars,” but he isn’t sure that’s going to help him survive on the show.

“I think Hope’s got it,” he told Access Hollywood Live’s Kit Hoover on Monday night, following the cast announcement, referring to U.S.A. soccer star Hope Solo. “She’s gonna win. I don’t have a chance.”

Ron suggested Hope’s fast footwork on the pitch will translate to fancy toe tapping in the ballroom and lead her to victory.

As for the guy he’s worried about seeing sprint to the finish, Ron is putting his weight behind a Kardashian.

“Probably Rob, because he’s Kim’s brother… He’s gonna get a million followers and Kim’s gonna tell him to win,” Ron said.

While Ron already isn’t expecting to add a mirrorball to his trophy case, he revealed there’s one great reason to be in the “Dancing” game – his not-so-secret-anymore celebrity crush – Ricki Lake.

”[I’m a] Ricki Lake groupie,” he said. “When I was a kid, I used to love watching her on TV. And she was so inspirational. I love watching Ricki Lake, and to be on the same stage? I’m gonna have fun.”
