Rose Leslie On ‘Ferocious’ New ‘Game Of Thrones’ Wildlings

Things beyond the wall in Wildling country are about to get a little more diverse – and scary – in “Game of Thrones” Season 4.

There’s a new tribe of Wildlings heading to town, and Rose Leslie, who plays Ygritte on the show, hinted at what they are like.

“They are ferocious,” Rose told Access Hollywood at the NYC “GoT” premiere, of a group known as the Thenn. “It’s gonna be good. … They are so, so scary.”

Beyond the additional Wildlings, Rose’s Ygritte has some serious emotions to deal with in Season 4, after letting her lover, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) escape with his life when he turned on her people to head back to Castle Black and the Night’s Watch in Season 3.

“At the start of Season 4, we find her a completely different animal,” Rose told Access. “She is a wronged, scorned woman and she’s no more — I feel — the kind of playful, vivacious, character.

“She’s very much restrained now, she’s closed off,” Rose added. “She shuts down. The dynamic between her and Tormund is very different. So, yeah, she’s a changed person.”

“Game of Thrones” Season 4 premieres April 6 at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO.
