Rosie O’Donnell has taken to her blog to respond to fans’ questions about her relationship with partner Kelli Carpenter.
One fan, Priscilla, wrote, “remember that your marriage, relationship and family has been very public, therefore it is normal for people to want to know what’s going on – said with much respect.”
“I do realize that,” Rosie responded on Thursday night, explaining why she hasn’t spoken out. “Our 4 kids come before anyone and anything else.”
In a similar question from fan Brenda Cotter, Rosie responded, “4 children is y.”
The star, who is preparing to launch a new radio show on Sirius XM, told USA Today earlier this week that the couple was “working on our issues.”
“We’re a family. We will remain a family forever,” Rosie said at the time. “Kelli and I love each other very much and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever. And that is something that has been agreed upon by all parties.”
Rosie and Kelli were married in a non-state-recognized ceremony in San Francisco in 2004.
