Rosie’s New Daytime Talker To Air On The Oprah Winfrey Network

Rosie O’Donnell announced earlier this year that she’s returning to daytime TV, and today the world learned that her new talk show’s home will be on OWN, The Oprah Winfrey Network.

“Rosie is an undeniable talent who has captivated TV audiences for nearly 20 years,” Oprah said, in a release to Access Hollywood. “She’s a true original, who brings her authentic voice, dynamic energy and pure passion to everything she does.”

Rosie is no stranger to television, having earned six consecutive Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Talk Show Host during her years on “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” as well as a one-year stint moderating ABC’s “The View.”

“It’s an honor and a privilege to work with Oprah Winfrey on her network,” Rosie said. “I’m excited to be back on daytime television.”

The hour-long daily show will be based in New York, and is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2011. The show will likely be a staple of the new network’s schedule.
