Ryan Gosling’s Birthday Party Plans: ‘I’m Gonna Go Home’

No raising the roof at the club for birthday boy Ryan
Gosling.

The actor hit the red carpet for the AFI Fest premiere of
his new film “The Big Short” on Thursday night (his 35th
birthday) and when asked what his post-premiere birthday celebration was going
to include… Ryan squashed any potential party plans.

“I’m gonna go home,” he smiled when asked how he’d
be celebrating.

“But it’s nice to be here and this is exciting,”
he said of bringing his new movie, based on the housing/financial crisis in the
2000s, to the closing night of the AFI Fest.

As for the film, which co-stars Brad Pitt, Christian Bale
and Steve Carell, and was directed by Adam McKay, Ryan raved over working with
such a talented cast and crew.

“It was so fun to make this film and work with these
actors. I’m a big fan of all of them and also Adam. ‘Step Brothers’ is one of
my favorite films, and for [Adam] to make something that’s not exactly a comedy
– it’s a very unique film.”
