Ryan Reynolds Named People’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ 2010

Ryan Reynolds has joined the ranks of Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman and Matt Damon now that he has been crowned People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” 2010.

The 34-year-old actor, who’s starring in the summer 2011 blockbuster “Green Lantern,” told the mag his physique requires a great deal of attention.

“My body naturally wants to look like Dick Van Dyke,” Ryan joked. “When I stop training, I turn into a skin-colored whisper.”

His new title won’t score him any points with wife of two years, Scarlett Johansson, who was named GQ’s 2010’s “Babe of the Year” on Tuesday

“Now it’s going to be, ‘Sexiest man, take out the garbage.’ That does sound better,” he explained. “The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers.”

The Canadian-born actor admitted his family would have plenty of fun with his new title.

“You just have to go with the flow,” he said of being crowned “Sexiest Man Alive.” “This gives my family entre into teasing me for the rest of my life.”

Other Hollywood hunks making the mag’s 25th anniversary issue include a slew of supernatural stars including “True Blood’s” Joe Manganiello, “The Twilight Saga’s” Alex Meraz and Kellan Lutz and “The Vampire Diaries’” Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder.

The mag also profiles Jon Hamm, Bradley Cooper, Justin Timberlake, Robert Downey Jr., Jake Gyllenhaal, Patrick Dempsey, Robert Pattinson, Matthew Morrison Zac Efron, Alex O’Loughlin, Jesse Williams, Derek Hough, Chad Ochocinco, Trevor Donovan and Chord Overstreet in their “Sexiest Man Alive” 2010.

People also took a trip down “Sexiest Man Alive” memory lane with a retrospective of past cover boys including a look back at George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck.
