‘Salem’: Season 2 Premiere Date Announced, New Photo Drops

Stuart Townsend and Janet Montgomery in WGN America’s ‘Salem’ Season 2 (WGN)

The witches are coming!

WGN America has announced the premiere date for Season 2 of “Salem.” The drama, starring Janet Montgomery as powerful witch Mary Sibley, returns Sunday, April 5 at 10 PM ET/PT.

WGN America also just dropped the first look at a photo from Season 2, featuring Janet opposite newcomer Stuart Townsend.

Season 2 will also feature Lucy Lawless in the recurring guest role of Countess Marburg, the last of a line of ancient German witches.

Stuart plays a mysterious doctor by the name of Samuel Wainwright.

Mary will face a battle for her witchy throne in Season 2, which is currently shooting in Shreveport, La.
