Sandra Bullock: Boston Is Made Up Of ‘Kind, Giving People’

“Bridesmaids” Director Paul Feig told Access Hollywood at CinemaCon that he would like to do a special screening of his new female buddy cop movie, “The Heat,” in Boston, and star Sandra Bullock loves the idea.

“That’s a great idea. It’s news, but that’s a really great idea,” Sandra said when Access shared what Paul told us on the red carpet at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Thursday.

“The Heat,” which stars Sandra as a stiff FBI agent and Melissa McCarthy as a tough Boston cop, was filmed in the city.

Sandra said that despite the tragic events on Monday, she knows Boston will bounce back.

“That city is made up of amazing, strong, loyal, kind, giving people and you saw that once everything happened,” she said. “You saw the amount of people that rushed into the danger and just helped everyone. All tragedies — it brings out the best in people and you just see what a great, great, great place Boston is.”
