Sarah Jessica Parker Talks Style, ‘Sex And The City’

She spent years as fashion vixen Carrie Bradshaw on HBO’s “Sex and the City” and now actress Sarah Jessica Parker is lending her name to a new line.

Parker is launching the trendy yet low-cost line “Bitten,” which will be sold at the affordable retail chain Steve & Barry’s.

“We really want women to have money left over to live, money to pay the utilities,” she said. “Your shirt should not [cost] more than the groceries is the basic idea.”

Good advice for Carrie, eh, SATC fans?

Every item costs under twenty dollars and Parker previewed 12 outfits from the line at the launch party. You can learn more about the line by watching our interview with Sarah Jessica below. But if you want to know more about the rumored “Sex and the City” movie, look no further. Ms. Parker gave us the official lowdown.

“I don’t know,” she said plainly when asked about the possibility of the film. “I don’t know if we have it or not. I’m not being cagey. I was hopeful the first time; I will remain hopeful this time around as we all ponder it.”

So there you have it: still no deal yet, but Sarah Jessica says she remains enthusiastic about the potential project.

“I would love nothing more than to be out on those streets, right [at] this time of day, with that group of people and someone shouting out ‘action,’ but we’ll see,” she said. “You know it is part of the decision that everyone else wants to make.”
