“Scandal” finally returns with all new episodes in a little over two weeks and to help out gladiators currently experiencing Olitz withdrawal, cast members teased what’s to come and how to handle the show’s absence.
Tony Goldwyn On Stomaching The Break In New Episodes: “Hang in there. It’ll be worth it,” Tony Goldwyn, who plays President Fitzgerald Grant, told Access Hollywood at the Family Equality Council’s Annual Los Angeles Awards. “Just be patient… The second half of the season is killer. So good!” Tony also promised more of the show’s trademark thrill rides. “I can tell you that it escalates from wherever ‘Scandal’ has been coming from. It just gets crazier and more interesting and is really good.”
What’s Next For James Novak?: After James had relations with Sally Langston’s husband, something that came about after he was set up by Cyrus, there are changes on the horizon. “I have a new role, professionally,” Dan Bucatinsky told Access. “Everyone does what they have to do to get what they want and everybody uses their relationship to get what they want and I think Cyrus and James are the same.”
Big Things For Some Fan Favorites: “You can expect a lot… more drama between Fitz and Jake and Olivia. You can expect some amazing Mellie stuff,” Scott Foley (Jake) told Access. “Bellamy Young has a great storyline. You can expect to find more about Harrison and his background. You can expect some great Huckleberry Quinn storylines. Huck and Quinn have some amazing stuff coming up.”

Can Cyrus & James Work It Out?: “James and I will prevail. Love will prevail,” Jeff Perry (Cyrus) told Access, of what he hopes the future will bring for the couple. “James will teach Cyrus to be a better human.”
“Scandal” returns with new episodes on February 27 on ABC.
