Scandal’s Jeff Perry Talks Premiere: ‘Best We’ve Ever Done’

“Scandal” returns to the airwaves tonight with its Season 3 premiere, and Jeff Perry – who plays the explosive Cyrus Beene on the show – says the first episode will not disappoint.

“You guys, if you love ‘Scandal,’ [or even] if you’ve never seen it, it’s off the hook,” Jeff told Access Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Thursday, of the impending season premiere. “I think it’s the best… it’s great. It’s one of the best we’ve ever done. It is so good!”

The actor also hinted at perilous times ahead for the manipulative White House Chief of Staff.

“Cyrus is transported to a possibly dangerous location in the trunk of a car,” he revealed.

“I can’t tell you [by who]!” he added. “I’d lose my job and then I’d have to kill you.”

After the jaw-dropping Season 2 episode where Cyrus put a hit out on his own husband (reporter James Novak, played by Emmy winner Dan Bucatinsky), fans were left wondering if Cyrus really loves his partner.

“I do, I do,” Jeff said, of Cyrus’ affection for James. “’Scandal’ fans will remember in last season when push came to shove, romance won out and I called off a hit on my husband.”

Adding, “That’s romance on ‘Scandal,’ when you call off a hit!”

The Season 3 premiere of “Scandal” airs Thursday at 10/9c on ABC.
