Scandal’s Tony Goldwyn: Kerry Washington ‘Blew My Mind’ On Saturday Night Live

Tony Goldwyn was more than impressed by Kerry Washington’s recent “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut!

“Wasn’t she incredible?! She blew my mind,” Tony told Access Hollywood of his “Scandal” co-star’s “SNL” performance, at the GQ Men of the Year party. “I told you she was going to be great… she blew me away. She did so many skits and they were all so different and she was so thoroughly prepared, and yet completely loose.

“It was hilarious,” he continued. “It was one of the best hosting jobs I’ve seen in years I thought. She was just incredible.”

And “Scandal” fans are in for some mind-blowing experiences of their own, thanks to this week’s episode, according to Tony.

“This week it just gets crazier,” he said, of the upcoming “Scandal” episode, tellingly titled, “Everything’s Coming up Mellie.” “Can’t tell you much, but this week we get deeper into my wife, Mellie. You get to know her in ways that you did not.”

Tony also teased more Operation Remington reveals.

“You find out more about this terrible plane crash – this plane that I supposedly shot down, that supposedly carried Olivia’s mother,” he said. “So we’ll find out more about that. So, it gets… yeah. The plot thickens.”

“Scandal” airs Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC.
