SCREAM! Mary Murphy Heads Back To ‘So You Think You Can Dance’!

Get those earplugs ready! Mary Murphy is bringing the “hot tamale train” back to “So You Think You Can Dance.”

The peppy judge, known for screaming gleefully occasionally in lieu of providing actual constructive comments for contestants on the FOX reality dance competition, will be back as the show kicks off its Season 8 search next month.

“I am thrilled and already dancing in my seat to be back as a permanent judge this season, which I’m sure will be the best ever,” Mary said in a statement released by FOX on Tuesday.

Mary left her seat next to executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe last season. Adam Shankman and Mia Michaels joined him instead at the judges’ table.

“I am delighted to have Mary back on the show,” Nigel said in a statement. “Her expertise in dance, coupled with her warmth, compassion and humor, make her and excellent judge and fun to work with.”

Auditions for Season 8 of “SYTYCD” begin February 2 in Salt Lake City, UT, and continue on February 25 in Los Angeles, Calif., and March 1 in Charlotte, NC.

Those who make it through those rounds will be given a ticket to Las Vegas for callbacks.
