Sean Bean Reacts For The First Time To ‘Game Of Thrones’ Ned Stark Spike Poster — Exclusive

Sean Bean hit the red carpet on Saturday for the “Mirror Mirror” premiere, where he reacted – for the very first time – to the brand new HBO promotional poster for HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”

After Access Hollywood showed Bean the poster, released earlier this week, which features Ned Stark’s head on a spike, a reference to his character’s death in Episode 9 of Season 1, the actor grinned and laughed heartily.

“Have you seen that?” he said to one of his reps, who was with him on the “Mirror Mirror” red carpet.

“I like that! I like that,” Sean then said to Access Hollywood.

Sean confirmed he had not yet seen the poster before, and when Access pointed out the show was using his character to promote Season 2, he laughed again, saying, “They’re not! I’m dead.”

“I like it,” he added.

While his character didn’t make it to Season 2, Sean said he will be tuning in to watch the show, which returns on April 1 at 9 PM on HBO.

“Yeah! I’ve got a lot of friends in it — people I know and stuff like that,” he told Access. “It’ll be interesting because I’ve not read the book for the next one, so I don’t know what it’s about. (Click HERE to see the Season 2 cast shots)

“It’ll be quite exciting,” he added.

And, apparently the poster continued to be a thrill for the actor, who after his interview, asked Access if he could keep it.

We, of course, obliged!

As for his role in “Mirror Mirror,” which sees Sean starring as the dad of Lily Collins’ Snow White, the Brit said it was good fun.

“It was great. I was only involved with it for a few days, but it’s a nice cameo role and it was lots of fun. I enjoyed working with Lily and Armie Hammer and stuff like that. And the director [Tarsem Singh], was very funny. [A] very funny guy, which made it fun to do.”

“Mirror Mirror,” with Sean, Lily, Armie and Julia Roberts, hits theaters on March 30.
