Well, Directioners, it looks like we’re not the only ones mourning Zayn Malik’s One Direction exit.
The first official Zayn-less promo photo of the band has been released, and from the looks of it, Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis are feeling all of the sadface emojis.
Seriously, not one 1Der is smiling – zero teeth showing – in this shot.

The only good news? According to the band’s management, the boys began working on their fifth studio album this month, and it will be released this year.
Despite the no-smiles-allowed pic, Liam managed to put a positive spin on the band’s current state.
On Monday, he Tweeted, “1st day writing the album it’s gunna be a great day!”
