Selena Gomez: ‘I Like When Guys Come To Me’

Selena Gomez is single and in the midst of her first world tour, but don’t expect the 21-year-old to be living the rock star life of having fans coming back to her bus or hotel room.

“I think it works different for female artists or at least it does for me because I actually don’t do any of that,” she said with a laugh during a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday.

“Don’t get me wrong, if a guy has the courage to ask me out, maybe I would. But I’m old fashioned. I like when guys come to me,” she continued.

The “Come & Get It” singer is also out on tour without parents, something she said is empowering.

“It’s been good for me to actually do it all on my own this time. It’s been great for me to go without my parents and being single and being me, it’s been great,” she explained.

Selena also chatted with Teen Vogue in their December/January issue about the major difference between herself and bestie Taylor Swift.

“She was 16 with the confidence of a 25-year-old. Actually, I should say 80-year-old, because she’s such an old soul,” she told the mag.

Adding, “I was not that way. I was very sheltered until about 18 or 19. I still live at home, and I’m 21! She does inspire me like crazy, but I wouldn’t change my path, because it allowed me to figure out all that stuff and do it on my own.”
