Selena Gomez On Justin Bieber’s Dropped Paternity Suit: ‘It’s Not Easy’

Selena Gomez is speaking out about the paternity lawsuit against boyfriend Justin Bieber – which was dropped last week.

“What a crazy last two weeks it’s been in the news,” Ellen DeGeneres told Selena on Thursday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“To say the least,” the 19-year-old singer/actress said. “I have been [alright.]”

The case filed by Mariah Yeater, who claimed Bieber fathered her 3-month-old baby, was dismissed last week. Bieber and his reps have denied the woman’s claims from the start.

“It’s good to just kind of…be good,” Selena added. “It’s not easy.”

On Tuesday, a rep for Beiber told Access, “As we’ve said from the beginning, it’s sad that someone would fabricate such a malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claim. We’ll continue to consider all of our options to protect Justin.”

Earlier this month, the Canadian singing superstar told Matt Lauer during an appearance on NBC’s “Today” show, “To set the record straight, none of it is true… never met the woman.”
